Position Title: Teacher/ Coach/Defensive Coordinator
Location: Hamlin High School
Salary: Pay $1000 above TEA salary schedule; local salary stipend
Length of contract: 10.5 months
Position Summary: Reports to the High School Principal and Athletic DirectorTeaching field: PE, Health, Math. Provide instruction and coach students to develop skills and ability to excel in sport assigned. Coordinate the defensive program for football. Contribute to education program as a whole and to growth of students involved in athletics.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with physical education endorsement

Position Title: Band Director
Location: Hamlin High School
Salary: Pay $1000 above TEA Salary Schedule
Length of Contract: 11 months
Position Summary: Direct and manage the overall program of instrumental music for the district. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities and ensure compliance with all state, UIL and district requirements.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas teaching certificate

Knowledge of overall operations of instrumental music program
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Strong communication, public relations and interpersonal skills.

Position Summary: Applicant must have Texas State Certification and meet “Highly Qualified” criteria according to the NCLB definition. Teacher will have two conference periods in an eight period day.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Applicant should be able to teach all levels of high school math
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
